Paul E. Bojalad
1958-2025
Paul E. Bojalad, “Boj”, age 67 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.
Born on March 28, 1958 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late George E. Bojalad and Josephine “Jo” (Newell) Bojalad.
Boj was a 1976 graduate of the DuBois Area High School. He attended Penn State University and graduated from Clarion State College with a degree in teaching, and then went on to obtain his Master’s Degree from Clarion.
He was a teacher in the DuBois Area School District. Previous to that, he taught at Jeff Tech, and Punxsutawney and Bellwood Antis School Districts.
Boj was a member of the YMCA, was an ASA umpire, and was a well-known sports official in our area in basketball, softball, and football. Boj served District 9 as a P.I.A.A. official for close to 50 years. He founded the DuBois Youth Girls Softball League in 1982 that gave many area girls the opportunity to play softball. He was a board member of the DuBois Historical Society, was very active in the Republican Party, and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Boj was a well-known advocate for youth sports. He donated countless hours, and energy, all for the betterment of the kids in our area.
He is survived by his three brothers (George Bojalad and his wife Justyne of DuBois, PA, Mike Bojalad and his wife Sandy of St. Marys, PA, and Ron Bojalad and his wife Teri of Orlando, FL), three nieces (Erica, Lindsay and Lauren), and six nephews (Matthew, Alec, Nick, David, Ian and Tom).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 4 – 7 pm at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at 11 am from the funeral home with Pastor John Miller officiating.
Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
In honor of his commitment to the area youth, the family requests in lieu of flowers, that memorial donations be made to The DuBois Little League Challenger Division, PO Box 71, DuBois, PA 15801.
