Pamela Louise (Penone) Brandon
1951-2026

Pamela Louise (Penone) Brandon, 75, of Brookville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, while a patient at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital in Dubois, PA. Pamela was born on January 13, 1951 to the late Hugh and Josephine (Livrone) Penone in Natrona Heights, PA. She was a 1968 graduate of Leechburg Area High School. She continued her education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she completed a Bachelor's Degree in Education in 1972 and later a Master's Degree in Education in 1976. Pamela taught first, second, fourth, and fifth grade levels over the course of her 37-year career (1972-2009) at the Hawthorn and New Bethlehem elementary schools of the Redbank Valley School District. She married Thomas M. Brandon on August 21, 1976 in Leechburg.

 

Pamela was very active in professional and social organizations throughout her life. Notably, she served for several terms as President of the Seneca Reading Council and as a board member of the Keystone State Literacy Association. She was also a member and past President of the Omicron Chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa in Brookville. Pamela was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Brookville.

 

Pamela fostered a special bond with those closest to her in her family throughout her life. She loved to travel, from day trips with her family to vacations throughout the country and abroad. She enjoyed planning all the details and reminiscing about past experiences. She also enjoyed reading and staying in close contact with her relatives and friends.

 

In addition to her husband, Pamela is survived by her son, Jonathan Penone Brandon, of Brookville.

 

Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2026, beginning at 11:00 am and will be officiated by Father William Laska. Interment will take place privately at St. Catherine’s Cemetery in Leechburg, PA. A memorial service in Leechburg is also being planned.
