Matthew S. “Mac” Stockdale, age 89 of Reynoldsville, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Christ the King Manor with his wife by his side.
He was born in Sykesville, PA on December 4, 1936. The son of the late Zeta (Cochran) Stockdale and Robert Stockdale.
He married Patricia (Norris) Stockdale on June 27, 1959. They celebrated life together for 66 years.
Mac is survived by two sisters (Ruth Dobis and Connie Hopkins and her husband John, both of DuBois, PA), and two brothers (Joseph Stockdale of DuBois, and Francis Stockdale of Punxsutawney), and several nephews and nieces. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law (Nancy Fierke of Raleigh, NC, and Elaine Harrison of Springfield, VA). They loved him like a brother.
He was preceded in death by three brothers (Robert, John, and Wilbur), and one sister (Florene Kerr).

There will be no public visitation.
All services are private and will be held at the convenience of the family.
