1966-2026
Mark Stephen Humbert, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Friday August 7, 2026, and went home to meet his Lord and Savior.
Born in Lancaster County, on November 25,1966, he was the eldest son of Karen (Heiss) and Michael Humbert.
Mark was a graduate of Mt. Calvary Christian High School and after graduation began his training in electrical automation. Mark was mentored and trained in automation technology and soon became a leader in building and creating electrical automation systems. Normally a quiet man of few words, he became excited and his eyes lit up as he spoke about any type of programming or tech, and loved to not only create projects himself but to show and train others. Eventually, Mark became a partner with Summit Electrical in DuBois and, at that time, relocated from Eastern PA to the DuBois area. He retired in January 2025 to pursue his hobbies, family time and building his dream home in the woods.
On June 29, 2019, he married his beloved wife, Debbie. Having met later in life, they made the most of every moment together and built a loving life together that meant the world to them both. Surviving are his parents, his wife Debbie, his children Stephen, Amanda and Kerri as well as stepson, Zachary. Mark is also survived by four grandchildren Ryan, Lincoln, Finley and Madelyn (Maddie), his brother, Jonathan and wife Priscilla, sister Kristen and her husband Braden, sister-in-law Julie and husband Ron, sister-in- law Kathie, and brother-in-law Jerry Jr and wife Melissa as well as numerous nieces and nephews and his lifelong friend Eric White, who also served as best man at he and Debbie's wedding.
He and his wife became members of the United Methodist Church, now the Rugged Cross Church in DuBois.
Interestingly, in 2001, Mark became a United States Coast Guard Auxiliary member. With his passion for learning, he earned certifications during that time in advanced coastal navigation, was a communications specialist and public education FSO. During this training, he also received a certificate designating him as a founding member of the Department of Homeland Security in March 2003.
His other interests were long range competitive shooting at Ridgway Rifle Club. He loved the precision work needed for building and designing his rifle but the friendships he made meant more than just the competition. He also became a certified drone pilot in recent years and enjoyed learning new techniques and taking video and photos of his home projects as well as the process of building he and Debbie's new home.
Mark was always a very private and quiet man who never liked to be the center of attention. So, to honor his life in a similar fashion, the family will hold a private family viewing and service this week under the direction of Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. and officiated by Pastor Will Pinos of the Rugged Cross Church.
Interment will be at the Beaver Valley Cemetery in Flinton PA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of the donor's choice in remembrance of Mark.
