Madgalene Ann “Mickey” Mesoraco
1937-2026

Madgalene Ann “Mickey” Mesoraco, 88, of Delancey, passed away on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at AM/PM surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Delancey on December 20, 1937, a daughter of the late Andrew Kolson and Helen (Dubensky) Kolson.

On August 20, 1960, she married Patsy Jerome Mesoraco.  He preceded her in death on May 15, 2026.  They have never spent an anniversary apart and are reunited once again and rejoice in their sixty-sixth anniversary together.

Mickey was a devout Catholic and practiced her faith religiously, she was a member of Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church and former member of St Adrian’s Catholic Church.

Together with her husband, she catered many weddings, parties and events.  She was known for making the best Haluska, stuffed cabbage, spaghetti and meatballs, Easter pizza and nut and apricot rolls.

Each year, she and Patsy decorated their home meticulously for Christmas for all the friends and neighbors to enjoy.

Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were such a source of inspiration and happiness for her.

Mickey had a remarkable gift for listening to her family, sisters and relatives.  Her compassionate heart and gentle presence brought comfort and encouragement to all.  Mickey dearly loved all the staff at AM/PM that were a huge part of her life in the past few years.

She is survived by two children, Douglas (Laura) Mesoraco of Valencia, Jodi (James) Kachmar of Punxsutawney; four grandchildren, Kayla (Patrick) Hanley, James “Jimmy” Kachmar, Devin (Kira) Mesoraco and Jordan Mesoraco; six great grandchildren, Carson, Declan and Harper Hanley, Luke, Lily and Reid Mesoraco; one sister, Joan Kriser; one brother, Thomas (Janet) Kolson; sister in-law Sandy Kolson; brother in-law’s Theodore Koromaus and Lawrence Kopas.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Patsy, one brother, Theodore Kolson, two sisters, Evelyn Kopas and Jean Koromaus; one brother in-law, Ronald Kriser.

Friends will be received from 3-8 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2026, at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral mass will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church, celebrated by Monsignor Joseph Riccardo.

Interment will follow at Adrian-Anita Roman Catholic Cemetery.
