Louis Edward Mattivi
1948-2026

It is with great sadness, that the family of Louis Edward Mattivi, age 77, announce his passing after a lengthy illness, while residing at the DuBois Nursing Home, on March 19, 2026.

Born on April 12, 1948, in Dagus Mines, PA., he was the son of the late Celestino “Casey” and Marie Mattivi.

As a Vietnam War Veteran, Louie wore that badge with honor. He shared an affinity for family, friends, veteran causes, fishing, music and a good laugh.

Louie graduated from St. Mary’s High School class of “1967” and two years electrical training, he was a life member of Dagus Mines V.F.W, National V.F.W. and Vietnam Veterans of America.

Louie is survived by his longtime spouse, Rebecca “Becky” ( Wicks) Mattivi of Kersey, one daughter, Melinda (Chad) Heffner of DuBois, two grandchildren, Kailey (Joseph) Greene of Armuchee GA and Morrison Heffner of DuBois, along with two great-grandchildren, Wrenley and Louis Greene of Armuchee, GA, Two brothers, Dick (Sandy) Mattivi of Kersey, Dan (Lisa) Mattivi of Ridgway and one sister Jean Leasgang of Kersey.

Louie will forever be remembered by his family of his devotion and the ability to make light of any situation with a laugh and a song.

At the bequest of Louie all services will be private.
