Lois Miller, a devoted mother, grandmother and wife, passed away on January 5th, 2026 at the age of 94, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 30, 1931, in the Pittsburgh area, then moving to Brockway Pennsylvania in 1952. Lois spent her life sharing love, kindness, and warmth to those around her. She married George Miller in 1951, and their 73-year union was filled with joy, love, and the raising of their seven children: Bruce Miller (Shelly), Gary Miller (Linda), Susan DeSantis (Jim), Sandy Miller, Becky Miller, David Miller (Lisa), and Lisa Andrulonis (Dan) and Kathleen, their infant daughter who preceded her in death.
Lois’s love for her family was evident in every aspect of her life. She is survived by her children, 19 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, who will cherish the memories of her guidance, support, and unconditional love. Her family was her life, and she dedicated herself to ensuring their happiness and well-being.
Beyond her family, Lois was a woman of many interests. She was an avid reader, traveler, and camper, often exploring new places with her husband and family. She loved to play cards with her many friends and family. Lois was also a tech-savvy individual, impressively maintaining her skills until the last week of her life.
Lois’s contributions to her community were significant. As the head librarian at Mengle Memorial Library for 25 years, she fostered a love of reading and learning in countless individuals. Her membership in the Rosary Society and Woman’s Club further exemplified her commitment to serving others and building strong community bonds.
There will be no public visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 8th at 11:00 AM at St. Tobias Church in Brockway with Fr. John Detisch celebrant, and Msgr. Charles Kaza concelebrating. Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery also in Brockway.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Brockway Mengle Memorial Library 324 Main Street Brockway, PA 15824 as a testament to Lois’s enduring legacy. Also, Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital. May her family and friends, find comfort in the memories of her love, and devotion.
