1953-2026
Kathy Jo Bunting, 72, of Brockport, Pennsylvania, passed away on January 13, 2026, at Christ the King Manor in DuBois, Pennsylvania. Born on November 7, 1953, in Zanesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Charles Ralph and Anna Katherine (Gill) Vore.
Kathy graduated from Tri-Valley High School in Dresden, Ohio. Guided by her strong work ethic and care for others, she spent her career serving others—as Secretary at Moorhead United Methodist Church in Brockway, Pennsylvania, and later as a State Farm Insurance Agent in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Years later, in 1996, she met the love of her life, William A. Giovannelli. They later married and shared many wonderful years together until his passing in September 2024.
A devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Kathy was the planner in every room—ensuring everyone had what they needed and offering love without limits. She enjoyed outdoor adventures, especially archery and camping, and cherished time spent with her friends and family. Her warmth, fairness, and loyal heart left an impression on everyone she met.
Kathy is survived by her children: Shawn Bunting of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Dawn (Todd) Sines of New London, Iowa, Fawn (H. DeWayne) Snellen of Mechanicsville, Maryland, and Shane (Ashle) Bunting of Brockway, Pennsylvania. She is also survived by her sister, Cindy Mohler of Dresden, Ohio, and by nine beloved grandchildren—Skye and Stone Bunting, Ryan Bunting, Rhiannon, Bryden, and Brooklyn Sines, Caitlin Beauregard and Ian Snellen, and Alexandra Cribbs.
In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Giovannelli.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Dr. James Devlin and the staff at Christ the King Manor for their compassion and care throughout Kathy’s two-month journey toward her diagnosis of Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease. As a very rare and difficult to diagnosis to confirm, the family would like to share the link to the CJD Foundation for information or availability to donate if so moved. https://cjdfoundation.org/
“I want to be an outrageous old woman who never gets called old lady. I want to grow leaner and meaner, sharp edged, earth colored until I fade away from pure joy.”
