Karl E. Becker, age 73 of Ridgway, PA, died Sunday, September 6, 2026 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born on July 27, 1953 in Oil City, PA, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Donna A. (Marvin) Becker, Jr. Karl was a veteran of the United States Airforce having served during the Vietnam War.
On December 6, 1980 he married his wife of 38 years, Linda R. (Beers) Becker. She preceded him in death on September 12, 2018. Karl retired from Windstream/Alltel as a telecommunications technician after many years of service. He was a member of the Rolfe Beagle Club where he served as treasurer. He had been a member of the Ridgway Volunteer Fire Departments Capital City Hose Company, the Ridgway American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 5587, and the Ridgway Eagles Aerie 469. Karl also enjoyed woodworking, and collecting Zippo lighters.
He is survived by his children; Karl A. Becker of Ridgway, PA, John Beers and his wife Lori of Owego, NY, Robin Pennington and her husband Jim of Ridgway, PA, and Mike Beers of Athens, PA, five grandchildren; Dylan, Logan, Josh, Kalene, and Cheyenne, six great grandchildren, and one sister, Darlene Sampsell. He was preceded in death by one sister, Rhonda Becker King.
There will be no public visitation.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026 from 11 AM until 2 PM at the Ridgway American Legion. Memorial donations may be made to the Rolfe Beagle Club, 1016 Long Level Road, Johnsonburg, PA 15845
