Karen J. Shaffer, Age 67 of Falls Creek, PA died Thursday, October 1, 2026 at her home.
Born on October 14, 1958 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Betty (Burkhouse) Hilliard. Karen was a 1976 graduate of the Brockway Area High School. She retired from Xylem, the former Rockwell International Manufacturing , after an over 40-year career.
Karen is survived by two sons; Eric Hilliard and his wife Bridgette and Aaron Shaffer, both of Falls Creek, PA and grandchildren, Riley & Katlyn Shaffer and Justin & Erica Hilliard. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tessa Hilliard.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 5, 2026 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Pastor Richard S. Kaizer officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery, Hormtown.
