John Thomas Horner
1954-2026

John Thomas Horner, 71, of DuBois, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 13th, passing peacefully at home with family by his side.

Born on October 24, 1954, in Brookville, PA, he was the son of the late James Gratton Horner and Genevieve Quay Clinton, who survives him.

In 1991, John married Debra (Craft) Horner, who also survives him.

A 1972 graduate of Greater Latrobe High School, John began his career with Rockwell International Corporation in DuBois, PA. Over the years, he held the position of Certified Quality Assurance Technician and later served as a Production Order Coordinator, retiring in 2016.

John was an avid fisherman who spent many years competing in local bass tournaments throughout Pennsylvania and neighboring states. He found great joy in the outdoors and cherished time spent with his family, cooking, tending to his garden, and vacationing on Chincoteague Island, VA. He attended the Soldier Community Church in Reynoldsville, PA.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Horner, his stepson Nicholas Reynolds, and his grandson Tyler Reynolds.

John is survived by his son, James (Tim) Horner; his sister Holly (Mark) Onufer of Moore, SC; his brother Michael Horner of Lancaster, PA; his stepson Jeramie (Carrie) Reynolds; granddaughter Grace Reynolds; daughter-in-law Kristen (Ryan) Collins; nieces Kristyn Horner and Katelyn (Horner) Ebner; and nephew Kristopher Horner.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Soldier Community Church in Reynoldsville on Saturday, February 28, at 1:00 p.m.
