Janet Marie Schoenhals, 77 of Reynoldsville, PA passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at her home.
Janet was born on August 30, 1948, in North Tonawanda, NY to Leo A & Norma Hardy Donahue Jr.
Janet was a loving mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her children and many grand and great-grandchildren. She was passionate about giving rescue dogs a good home, having taken in many in her lifetime.
Janet retired after many years from DuBois Regional Medical Center having worked in the housekeeping and Central Processing departments. She enjoyed going to yard sales and loved going to bingo.
Janet is survived by her husband Benjamin Schoenhals and children: Janette (Bones) Harper, Melissa McDonald and partner Dan Duttry, Terri (Brad) Miller, and Richard Lee Sutter and partner Lindsey Clinger McClure all of Reynoldsville, Krys (Joe) Kobert of Butler, PA, and Debbie Velivis of CA; grandchildren: James A (Amber) Kelichner of Beaver Falls, PA, Eric L Tinker of DuBois, Jacob L Kelichner of Knoxdale, PA, Brandon (Alyssa) Crytser of Sykesville, Matthew Donahue and partner Katie Smith of Falls Creek, Kaylynne of DuBois, Heather Crytser of Punxsutawney, Jimmy Rossi of DuBois, Steven (Sarah) Rossi of Franklin, PA, Brooklyn Sutter Smith of NY, Maggie (Josh) March of Butler, Mason Sutter of Lowry City, MO, Madison Velivis of CA. She was also survived by sister's Diane (Vic) Mellott, Linda (Sonny) Stine and Karen (Johnny) Porter, all of New York.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents and children: Richard Lynn Sutter Jr, Bobbi Jo Sutter; brothers: James Donahue and Leo (Bud) Donahue III; and sister: Barbara Fulford; and great-granddaughter: Chaelynne Kelichner.
Family and friends will be received on Saturday, February 21, 2026, from 10am to 12pm at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA 15851. A funeral service will be held immediately following the viewing, beginning at 12pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gateway Humane Society.
