Jane Ann (Cook) Anderson, age 89, of DuBois, PA died Thursday, December 25, 2025 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.
Born on May 19, 1936 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry L. and Ellen (Pendleton) Cook.
On June 27, 1953, she married her husband of 71 years, Vincent Edward Anderson. He preceded her in death on October 17, 2024.
She was a homemaker, and most importantly provided child care for local families for many years. It was a “Job” that she loved.
Jane was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in DuBois where she was very active in church affairs. She served as President to the Alliance Women’s Society for over 10 years, and was a Sunday School teacher.
Jane enjoyed crafting, making cards, and playing volleyball. Both she and her husband Vince played well into their 70’s. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Jane is survived by her five children (Vincent E. Anderson, Jr. (Janet) of Reynoldsville, PA, Cindy L. Westlake (Dennis) of Indianapolis, IN , David A. Anderson (Rebecca) of Plainfield, IL, and Lori Anderson and Daniel C. Anderson (Tami) both of DuBois, PA), nine grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four sisters (Sarah Hendricks, Jeanette Peoples, Doris Mitchell, and Grace Ellen Cook)
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 6 – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 12:30 PM from the funeral home with her son David Anderson officiating.
Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery.
