Jamie D. Lavery, age 71 of DuBois, PA died Sunday, January 11, 2026 at his home.
Born on March 4, 1954 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late John and Nancy Jane (Crawford) Lavery.
Jamie was a carpenter by trade and was a handyman in the area for many years. He was currently working in the maintenance department at the DuBois Mall.
He was a member of the Independent Political and Social Club. His biggest joy was watching his grandchildren play sports. He never missed a game.
Jamie is survived by his son (Shawn Hoover and his wife Kara of DuBois, PA), three grandchildren (Gavin, Carson and Peyton Hoover, and his siblings (Michelle “Misty” Swisher of Freehold, NJ, Nancy Anthony of DuBois, PA, and Gordon “Bud” Crawford of NJ).
He was preceded in death by one sister (Judy LaBenny) and one brother (Tim Lavery).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 2 - 4 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
A service will immediately follow at 4 PM, from the funeral home, with Father John Malthaner officiating.
Burial will take place in St. Catherine Cemetery.
