H. Marie Kessler age 89 an Allens Mills Road Reynoldsville, PA resident, died on September 28, 2026 at Christ the King Manor in DuBois.
Born on October 7, 1936 in Beechwoods, PA (Jefferson County) she was the daughter of the late Edward Dale and Mary Pearsall Corbin. On July 26, 1957 she was married to Willam J. “Bill” Kessler and he preceded her in death on November 19, 2024.
Retired, Marie had been employed as a Dialysis Technician at the former Maple Avenue Hospital in DuBois. She was a member of the Allens Mills Community Church where she was active and enjoyed church activities including the United Methodist Women. Marie also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and bowling.
She is survived by daughters Debra Overholser of Reynoldsville, PA; Kathleen (Floyd) Shaffer of Hazen; Amy (Michael) McKinley of Cranberry, PA; a sister Erma (Ed) Weber of South Park, PA; and a brother Paul (Paula) Corbin also of Reynoldsville. Marie is also survived by 6 grandchildren: Shannon, Sean, Tonya, Kayla, Morgan, Landon and by 7 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband she is also preceded in death by a sister Anna Mae Douthit and a brother Edward Earl Corbin.
Visitation will be on Saturday, October 3 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 3:00 PM with Pastor Kelly Trozzo officiating. Burial will be in the Beechwoods Cemetery.
