Gordon L. Deible
1948-2026
Gordon L. Deible, 77, of Bradenton, Florida, formerly of DuBois, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 14, 2026, at HCA Florida Hospital in Largo.
Born in DuBois on May 3, 1948, he was the son of the late Lloyd “Duke” and Esther (Gordon) Deible.
Gordon is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Candace (Hibner) Deible the proud father of three daughters; Amy Sansom (Chris), Kelly Kuhl (David), and Heather DeBower (Dan), his sister, Deborah Deible Rairie, and her husband Harv Rairie; and his brother in law, David Hibner.
Nothing brought him more joy than being “Papa” to his four grandsons: Cole Sansom, Bryson Kuhl, Jack DeBower, and Max DeBower. He took great pride in their academic and athletic accomplishments and loved cheering them on in every stage of life.
Gordon also cherished time spent with his many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who held a special place in his heart.
He was a 1966 graduate of DuBois Area High School and earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh. A United States Army veteran, Gordon later spent his career as a salesman and co owner of the Reynoldsville Casket Factory.
He enjoyed playing cards with the guys, visiting the casino, playing golf, and scratching lottery tickets. His daughters will forever remember the fatherly advice he was always ready to give, and his sons in law admired him as they would their own father.
A celebration of life will be held in DuBois at a later date.
