Gloria A. (Bevak) Palumbo, age 81 of DuBois, PA died Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Christ the King Manor.
Born on June 2, 1944 in Punxsutawney, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Blanche (Nadwodny) Bevak.
On October 9, 1963, she married John “Tom” Palumbo. He preceded her in death on October 2, 2015.
Gloria retired from Christ the King Manor, a job that she loved, in the spring of 2025. She was the friendly voice that greeted you when you called the Manor, or walked through the front door. Previous to that, she had worked at Bon Ton, Clearfield Jefferson Community Mental Health Center, and worked alongside her husband at the Tom Palmbo and Sons Meat Market of Clearfield.
Gloria was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, and the Pekingese AKC Dog Club. She was involved with the DuBois Little League Program, and served as the Regional Secretary for many years. Gloria loved to listen to the Big Moose and The Sunday Morning Polka Party. She never missed having any family birthdays or anniversaries announced/celebrated. Above all, Gloria was a wonderful person that loved being with her family, especially her great grandchildren. She will be missed by many.
Gloria is survived by one son, (Robert J. Palumbo and his wife, Lisa of Penfield, PA), and one daughter, Nicole Palumbo (Blaine Martin) of DuBois, PA, five grandchildren Brianna Palumbo (Richard Martin), Brandon Palumbo (Taylor), Nathan Palumbo (Melinda), Jonathan Palumbo (Sabrina), and Janessa Palumbo, two brothers (William Bevak of Punxsutawney, PA, and Anthony Bevak and his wife Judith of New Bethlehem, PA).
She was preceded in death by one son (Thomas Palumbo), and one brother (Samuel Bevak).
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 4 – 7 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at 11 AM from the chapel at Christ the King Manor with Msgr. Charles Kaza as celebrant.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
