Gary N. Snell, age 80 of Falls Creek, PA died Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at his home.
Born on January 28, 1946 in DuBois, PA, he was the son of the late Wainwright and Lena (Boyer) Snell. Gary was a 1964 graduate of the DuBois Area High School. He was a veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. On November 20, 1970, he married his wife of 55 years, Susan (Snyder) Snell. She survives. Gary retired from Gasbarre Products after 35 years of service. He was a member of the Falls Creek Eagles Aerie 965. Gary was an avid reader, he especially enjoyed books by his favorite author, James Patterson. He loved bonfires, 60’s music, and playing Yahtzee every Saturday night with his wife Susan. The best they can figure, is that they have played well over 6,000 games together!
Along with his wife, Gary is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Cody of Newbern, NC, three grandchildren; Tyler Burr (Faith Williams) of DuBois, PA, Naomi Lett (Mike) of Silver Springs, FL, and David Cody of Newbern, NC, seven great grandchildren; Tyler, Arielle, Lillian, Mason, Thalia, Finley, and Sophia, and one brother, Ted Snell of Inverness, FL. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Carrie Salada, six sisters; Evelyn, Shirley, Maxine, Donna, Carol, and Marlene, five brothers; Richard, Joseph, James, Norbert, and Robert, and one great granddaughter, Caroline.
There will be no public visitation and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
