Frank Michael Guidash Jr., 80, of Punxsutawney, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, while a patient at Punxsutawney Area Hospital. Frank was born on September 8, 1945, to the late Frank Michael Sr., and Angeline Guidash, in Punxsutawney. He graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School with the Class of 1963. He proudly served his country with the United States Army during Vietnam. He was active duty and was based at Long Binh Post. Frank married the love of his life, Darlene Anderson in 1972; Darlene survives him. Frank worked for International Jensen Incorporated as a machine operator. He also worked for Marion Center School as a custodian. He was a member of the Rossiter American Legion #582 and the Church of Resurrection in Rossiter. Frank was a simple man. He enjoyed reading maps and traveling. He was a history nut and loved to watch Westerns on TV. He loved to take care of his wildlife, making sure all the deer and birds had enough to eat all year long. Frank will be dearly missed by all who knew him. In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by two sons: Shawn (Christee) Guidash and Chad (Amy) Guidash; two grandchildren: Meadow and Harper; one brother: Ron Guidash; and one sister: Karen Catalano. Frank was preceded in passing by his parents. All services will be held privately to the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Fait – d’Argy Funeral Home, 117 N.
