Florence “Flo” King, 84, of Sykesville, PA passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at home surrounded by love. Born in Troutville, PA on October 14, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Dwight and Sarah (Frantz) Brocious of Sykesville, PA.
Flo is survived by a loving family of 5 children Debra Reasinger and her husband Ken of Troutville, PA; Connie Schaffer and her husband Homer of Punxsutawney, PA; Robyn Sonnie of Sykesville, PA; Robert King Jr. of Sykesville, PA; and Sherri King Keagle of Stump Creek, PA; 7 Grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Dwight Brocious of Stump Creek, PA; Richard Brocious Sr and his wife Cindy of Sykesville, PA; a sister Mildred Roy of Sykesville, PA and cherished family members who will forever hold dear her memory and the many ways she touched their lives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Robert King, a brother Maurice Price, a sister Janet Price and 2 son-in-laws, George Sonnie and Audie Keagle and other loved ones who now welcome her into everlasting life.
Flo loved fishing and going to camp. She loved listening to Conway Twitty, playing Yahtzee and spending time with family. Her grandchildren called her Gaga and Grams. She will be remembered for her strong headedness and speaking her mind.
A visitation will be held at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in Sykesville on Sunday, December 21, 2025 from 3 pm to 6 pm. Small service following at 6pm at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Troutville Trinity United Church Cemetery.
