Donald E. Mizner, age 86 of DuBois, PA passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2026 at Christ the King Manor.
Born on June 22, 1940 in Greenville, PA he was the son of the late Cassius W. and Geraldine Kane Mizner. He was married on February 15, 1981 to Gail Trego Mizner who preceded him in death on May 7, 2021. He was a graduate of North Hills High School, Pittsburgh, in 1959 and attended the University of Pittsburgh before graduation from Thiel College in 1965.
Don worked as an insurance adjuster for Liberty Mutual Insurance, a state trooper for the State of New Hampshire, and for 33 years for Olin Corporation/Winchester Division before retiring as Eastern Regional Manager in 2001.
He was a member of Episcopal Church of Our Savior, a Life Member of the NRA, the Elks Club, and the Punxsutawney Hunting Club. His passions were his family, friends, hunting, fishing, shooting, gardening, and wood crafting.
Don is survived by a daughter, Michelle Barham of Four Oaks, NC; a son Eric (Deedee) Mizner also of Four Oaks, NC; two stepsons David T. (Ellen) Lamar of Presto, PA and Michael R. (Brenda) Lamar of Falls Creek, PA; grandchildren Andrew Lamar, Erica Harberson, Alexandra Capaci, Jacob Lamar, Julia Barham, Lillian Mizner, and Claire Mizner; great grandchildren Greyson, Evelyn, Audrey, Emma, Cameron, Veronica, and Marco; and a brother Cassius W. (Susan) Mizner of Thayne, WY. He was preceded in death by his identical twin brother Ronald C. (Judy) Mizner.
There will be no viewing and the service will be private at the convenience of the family. At the request of the deceased, in lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of a donation to Church of Our Savior, PO Box 503, DuBois, PA 15801.
