Diane Louise (Himes) Amitrone age 76 of Brockway, PA died Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at Christ the King Manor.
Born June 7, 1949, in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Donald “Jiggs” and Vera (Comiotti) Himes.
She was married to Angelo “Pitch” Amitrone, who preceded her in death in 2006. Pitch always lovingly referred to her as CCC, which stood for coffee, computer, and cigarettes.
Diane was employed by the administrative office at Brockway Glass for 24 years. She later worked at VSI, Highland View Healthcare and CareerLink. Later in life, she babysat two special boys, Quinton and Noah Perrin.
Diane is survived by her children, David Barber, Mary Ann (Andrew MacWilliams) Barber, Suzanne (Eddie) Hynds, and Joseph (Brenda Fisher) Barber. She is also survived by grandchildren Jason (Katelyn), Benjamin (Marissa), Angelina (Ricky), Callie, Maria, and Jack.
Her family will remember her as being one of the best card sharks, and always keeping a “poker face” while playing cinch. She will also be remembered for her addiction to playing games on her computer, her frequent trips to the casino with her daughters, and her famous hot sausage made for all occasions.
She was a member of St. Tobias Roman Catholic Church, enjoyed bowling, and was a past leader of both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her brothers, Donald Jr. and William Himes.
There will be no public visitation.
A private family funeral service will be held from the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc. with Msgr. Charles Kaza officiating.
Burial will be in St. Tobias Cemetery.
