1957-2025
Dennis D. Ferut, age 68, of DuBois, PA passed away Friday, November 7, 2025 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh after a lengthy battle with cancer.
Born on July 16, 1957 he was the son of the late Andrew and Mary Ann (Varacallo) Ferut.
Dennis married Laurie A. (Salada) Ferut on December 26, 2016. She preceded him in death on June 9, 2017.
Dennis was a self-employed carpenter and plumber for many years, and retired from the DuBois Area School District Maintenance Department where he worked in plumbing and HVAC repair.
He was a member of the Falls Creek Eagles Aerie 965 enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Dennis is also survived by four children; (Brandon (Lacey Meholick) Ferut of DuBois, PA, Samantha Ferut ( Justin Berryman) of Falls Creek, PA, Brodie (Alexandra Reis) Ferut of Weedville, PA, and Seth (Jenna Winebark) Ferut, Rossiter, PA); five grandchildren (Reagan, Russell, and Riley Ferut, and Aries and Joselyn Berryman) two stepchildren (Cheri (Joseph) McConnell and Kelly (Shawn) Whiting), step grandchildren (Robert, Mary, and Ryan McConnell, Gemma and Ella Whiting) and a brother (Andrew Ferut of Sykesville, PA).
There will be no public visitation and a service will be held at the convenience of the family.
