David Henry Edwards Jr., passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Penn Highlands Dubois Hospital. David was born on March 5, 1937, to the late David Henry and Ethel C. (Freedline) Edwards in Reynoldsville, PA. David graduated from the Reynoldsville Area High School. David married Gertrude Louise Lockwood on June 18, 1960, Gertrude preceded him in passing in 2003. David proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1955 – 1975. He served three tours and served in the Vietnam War. David retired after twenty years as a Master Sergent. He was a member of the American Legion in Reynoldsville and Eagles in Falls Creek. David is survived by four sons, Scott (Dawn) Edwards, Ron (Ginger) Edwards, Jim (Erin) Edwards, Joe (Tina) Edwards, four brothers, Floyd (Ginger) Edwards, Jerry (Sandra) Edwards, Bob Edwards, Larry Edwards, one daughter – in – law, Brenda Edwards, ten grandchildren, Craig, Cory, Ronnie, Lee, Becky, Jayden, Jeremy, Cheyenne, Adrian, Brooklyn, and eleven great grandchildren, Marina, Tyrone, Cory Jr, Kallen, Skylar, Sawyer, Jaime, Lee Jr, Axl, Hayden, Elijah. In addition to his wife and parents, David was preceded in passing by two brothers, Leonard and Jim, one son, Bill Edwards, and grandson, Jamie Taube. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 4- 8pm at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main St., Reynoldsville, PA 15851. An additional viewing will take place Thursday, March 19, 2026, also at the Snyder – d’Argy Funeral Home, from 10 – 11am. A funeral service will take place immediately following the viewing beginning at 11:00AM. Military Honors will be rendered by the DuBois Area Honor Guard.
