Daniel Tyler Roy, 33, of Mechanicsburg, passed away at home on Thursday, November 27, 2025.
He was born in DuBois on July 3, 1992, the son of Daniel Albert Roy and Lori Ann (Luisi). His father Daniel and fiancé Miracle Good survive and reside in Punxsutawney. His mother Lori Hangen also survives.
Daniel was a 2010 graduate of Redland High School.
He worked as a Maintenance Manager at Walmart, overseeing preventative maintenance of facilities.
For nearly eight years, he had a cherished bond built on deep trust, shared laughter and mutual support with Nada Zomorodi.
He also enjoyed his beloved cat, Echo. Time together with Nada and Echo filled Daniel with love and happiness.
He was a young man whose energy filled every room, he was funny, adventurous, and effortlessly charismatic, the kind of person people naturally gravitated toward. Always sharp and well dressed, he paired his sense of style with a love for anything that revved his spirit, whether he was riding motorcycles, mudding in Jeeps, or heading out for a weekend of camping under the stars. He collected model trains, enjoyed remote control cars, flying drones and was training to get a pilot’s license to fly small aircraft.
In addition to his parents and Nada, he is survived by three siblings, Branson (Brookelyn) Roy of Punxsutawney, Gino Marchioni and Isabella Marchioni, both of Mechanicsburg; Paternal grandparents, Albert and Loretta Roy of Punxsutawney; Maternal grandparents, Bob and Pat Luisi of DuBois; Nada’s parents, Ahmad and Parvin Zomorodi of Mechanicsburg; aunts and uncles, Bobby Luisi, and John Luisi, Vaughn (Mary) Roy of Huntingdon, Shelly (Roy) Davis of Punxsutawney and Sherri (Dan) Bosak of Florida; cousins, Alyssa (Nick) Miller of Punxsutawney, Andrew Wehry of North Carolina, Angela (Jake) Miller of Punxsutawney, Joel Bosak and Justin Bosak of Florida; nephew, Greyson Roy.
Preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Geraldine Luisi, and one brother, Alex Roy.
Arrangements are private and under the direction of Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
