Clifford A. Long, 84, of Reynoldsville, passed away on March 6th, 2026 at the McKinley Health Center in Brookville.
He was born on January 26th, 1942, a son of the late Harry Long, and Beulah (Dunmire) Long.
Clifford was a life member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Post #540, Reynoldsville, and a proud member of the NRA.
He spent much of his working life employed by McDowell Manufacturing of Dubois, where he worked as a welder until his retirement in 1997.
He was Methodist by faith.
Clifford loved to spend time in the great outdoors hunting and fishing. He loved mowing his grass each summer, and took great pride in it. He especially enjoyed taking care of his gardens. He loved canning, and sharing his creations with those he loved. Above all, he loved his family deeply, and shared a special relationship with all of them, especially his great-grandchildren.
He is survived by sons Bradley (Linda) Long of Reynoldsville; and Todd (Vicki) Long of Reynoldsville; grandchildren Alex (fiancée Alyssa Horner) Long of State College, Katelyn (Thad) Harmon of State College, Jessica (Jake) Birch of Reynoldsville, and Kari (Steve) Sensebaugh of Reynoldsville; great-grandchildren Jack and Jada Birch, and Garrett and Shane Sensebaugh, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, brothers Arthur Long, Elmer Long, Kenneth Long, Richard Long, and one sister, Valeria Stewart.
Friends will be received from 10:00 a.m. until noon on Thursday, March 12th, 2026 at the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Becky Edwards officiating.
Internment is private and will take place at Center Hill Cemetery.
