1942-2025
Chester J. “Whitey” Gibson, 83, of Reynoldsville passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025 at Christ the King Manor.
Born on June 15, 1942, in Reynoldsville, he was the son of the late Sidney and Hilda (Wells) Gibson.
Whitey married the love of his life Janice M. Roush on July 8, 1967 in Reynoldsville, together they had 58 wonderful years.
He graduated from the Reynoldsville High School, was a member of the Gelnett Memorial Church, retired as a truck driver for PennDOT. His greatest joy was going to races at Hummingbird and spending time with his family and friends.
Whitey is survived by his loving family, wife Janice, two sons, James (Tracy) Gibson of Rockton and Jeffery (Nichole) Gibson of Rockton. His fun grandchildren; Alexis, Ella and Cali, his three sisters Ruth McCullough of Reynoldsville, Jane Summerville of New Bethlehem, Marie Getch of Reynoldsville and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in passing by his parents and brother Bill Gibson.
A private memorial service will take place.
Interment will take place in Temple Cemetery.
