Cherie L. Naugle, 61, DuBois, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born May 21, 1963, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late Richard “Dick” and Linda (Reasinger) Shaffer.
On July 23, 1983, she married John Patrick “Pat” Naugle at the DuBois Lutheran Church. He survives.
Cherie graduated from the DuBois Area High School. She was employed for many years at Bailey’s Drive-In, but everyone will remember her as the most notable face at Frank’s Pizza. In addition to being a Girl Scout leader, she loved bowling and traveling to bowl. Cherie also enjoyed visiting various baseball stadiums. She was Lutheran by faith and attended Tri-County Church. But most of all, Cherie’s greatest joy was raising her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Cherie is survived by her four children, Shawn Shaffer, Joshua P. (Trista) Naugle, Elysburg, PA, Ashley R. Naugle, DuBois, and Bethany M. (Steven Moore) Naugle, Sarasota, FL, two grandchildren, Marielle L. Shaffer and Ezekiel D. Naugle, and two siblings, Rick and Jodi Shaffer, DuBois.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, September 4th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, September 5th from 1-2 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium. Following Thursday’s visitation, a Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. from the funeral chapel with Pastor Chris Trethewey officiating. The family requests that those attending the viewing and service wear any color except black; Cherie particularly loved purple.
