1932-2025
Charlotte S. Lefever, 93, of DuBois, passed away on November 26, 2025 at Nelson’s Golden Years. She was born to Jacob Edwin Silvis and Bertha Vernie Cunningham on February 14, 1932 on the family farm in Bairdstown, Westmoreland County.
She married Gene F. Lefever on May 2, 1953 in Westfield, Pennsylvania.
She graduated from Bulter High School in 1950 and worked at Bell Telephone. When she was not in the kitchen cooking or baking, she was taking care of her flowers and hummingbirds.
She is survived by her children, Debora Fulkerson (Bud Short) of DuBois; Dennis (Jamie) Lefever of New Bethlehem and William (Pam Hoover) Lefever of DuBois; granddaughters, Nicole Fulkerson and Micaela Lefever (Devin Muth) and one grandson, Dirck Fulkerson, one great-grandson, Braedon Fulkerson; one great, great-granddaughter, Madison Rose; one-step grandson, Channing Frampton, and two great-grand dogs; two sister-in-laws, Sherrie Aikens Silvis of Michigan and Shirley Silvis of Blairsville. She was the last of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 55 years, her brothers, James E. and Albert Edwin Silvis; her sister, Caroline “Isabel” Lang; and grandson, Jeremy Lefever.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Adamson Funeral Chapel in DuBois, 1213 Chestnut Avenue, DuBois, PA 15801. A funeral service will be held immediately after with LaMarr Adamson officiating. Interment will be a Morningside Cemetery in DuBois.
