Carol L. Giovannelli age 78 a Park Street Brockway, PA resident, died on Saturday, January 10, 2026 at Highland View Health Care in Brockway. Born on March 29, 1947 in DuBois, PA; she was the daughter of the late George and Bernice Welsh Jones. Carol was self-employed as an MSHA Training Instructor. Much of her life centered around her home, especially her front porch. She attended all of her grandchildren’s sporting events, rarely ever missing anything. This led to her becoming “grandma” to literally dozens and dozens of kids. One Christmas the letter “C” in Carol on a present was misinterpreted as a “D” and she instantly became known as “Grandma Darol” and it stuck to this day. But the front porch of her home was always the center of all activity, from her daughter and her friend’s in years past, to the current group of grandchildren. The many memories that were made can not be counted. One trait Carol had and never lost was how she loved to laugh, joke around and have a good time. All from the simplest of things, her front porch. She is survived by a daughter Suzie Fremer (Shane Patton) of Brockway; a sister Nancy Jane Bailey of Ohio; grandchildren Jacob Wineberg (Kelly Shea) of Venice, FL; Isabella Patton and Aiden Patton both of Brockway; Ashley (Curtis) Conrad of Stafford, VA and their son Easton; Ryan (Tiffany) Patton of Brockway and their children Chloie, Kinsley, Reese and Ryan Jr. We also cannot forget Carol’s best friend Pat Carr of Brockway, with whom she shared many, many wild adventures with! In addition to her parent’s, she is also preceded in death by a sister Doris Ann Squires. All services for Carol will be private at the convenience of her family.
