Carla Rae (Bowers) Jordan

Carla Rae (Bowers) Jordan, 65, of Brookville, PA, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2025, while at her home. Born in Crestline, OH, on March 20, 1960, to Robert Louise Bowers Sr. and Karen Dee (Fulton) Bowers. She was raised in the state of Indiana until she moved to Brookville around 1980 to be with family. Carla met her husband, Ronald Jordan, shortly after moving to Brookville. They got married on July 20, 1984; Ron survives her. Carla and Ron had three beautiful daughters together: Amber Jordan, Susan Campbell, and Stacy (Matthew) Shaffer. Carla worked for WRC for 44 years where she was the Resident Care Coordinator. Carla found great joy in taking care of people, especially those closest to her and it was her true passion in life. She also worked as a med transport, med tech, and CNA. Carla was always so kind and a joy to be around. Her life revolved around her daughters and grandbabies. She was known for always bringing a laugh to any gathering she attended. She was the pillar of her family who demonstrated strength and inspiration to her daughters. To have met Carla was to love Carla. She will be greatly missed by anyone who knew her. In addition to her father, husband and daughters, Carla is survived by five grandchildren: Jordan Campbell, Tyler Campbell, Willamina “Willa” Jordan, Lexie Ellis, and Walker Shaffer. She is also survived by four siblings: Brenda (Robert) Cook, Robert (Tonya) Bowers Jr,. Jane Childs, and Nikki (Bill) Parks; and numerous nieces and nephews, all whom she loved as her own. In addition to her mother, Carla is preceded in passing by uncle: Richard Dinger; and her grandmother: Betty Fulton. Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 4pm to 8pm, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. A second viewing will take place on Friday, December 5, 2025, from 2pm to 4pm, also at the funeral home. A funeral service will take place immediately following the second viewing, beginning at 4pm, and officiated by Rev. Ray Baker.
