Beverly Ann Anderson, 72, of Albion area, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
She was born in North Windham, Connecticut on April 21, 1953, a daughter of the late Lloyd William Painter and Beverly Edith (Chappell) Painter.
Bev was a 1971 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School.
She was married to Larry Anderson. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2008.
Prior to retirement she worked at Sensus Metering in DuBois.
She was a true warrior in every sense, she carried strength in her hands, heart and spirit. The strongest woman you ever met, she showed that real power comes from resilience, courage and unbreakable will to keep going no matter the odds.
As the best mother, she put everyone before herself, she gave selflessly, loved deeply and created a home filled with strength and unconditional love that will live on in her family forever. Her hobbies were crafting and sewing.
She is survived Shane (Sarah) Meenan, Matthew (Joni) Anderson, and Ashley (John) Lydic, all of Punxsutawney; nine grandchildren, Ethan Meenan, Shawn Anderson, Korinne (Josh Relmo)Anderson, Seth Anderson, Reese (Alex) Buffington, Caleb Carver, Breanna, Brooklynn and Colton Lydic; four great grandchildren, Raelynn and Madalynn Anderson, Jeremy and Asher Buffington; daughter in-law Tonya Shank; one sister, Andrea Leone of Buffalo, New York; two brothers, Jon Painter of Middletown, PA and Larry (Chris) Painter of Marietta, Ohio.
Preceded in death by her parents, husband Larry, infant daughter, Anna Marie Anderson; one son, Larry “Boomer” Anderson; three brothers, Duane, William and Andrew Painter.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.
