Alan J. “Bird” Moore age 65 a lifelong Brockway, PA resident, died on Saturday November 22, 2025 at Penn Highlands DuBois. Born on April 26, 1960 in DuBois, PA; he was the son of the late Jay C. and Marion Reitz Moore. Retired, Bird was co-owner at J&M Auto Service in Brockway. He also was a School Bus Driving Instructor, and was employed as a Bus Driver for the Brockway School District for 46 years. He was Methodist by faith. Bird was a lifetime member of the Brockway Volunteer Hose Company, was a Snyder Twp. EMA member, and assisted with the Brockway Old Fashion 4th of July festivities for many many years helping with the parade and the fireworks. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially scouting, and served as Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 34 Bucktail Council. Bird is survived by sons Nicholas Moore of Providence, Rhode Island; Jacob “Jake” (Emily) Moore of Winchester, VA; brothers Donald (Lisa) Moore and K.P. (Michelle) Moore both of Brockway. He is also survived by his former wife Nancy Chamberlin also of Brockway with whom he shared his children. There will be no public visitation. A private Memorial Service will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Dr. Victor Baxter officiating. Burial will be in Temple Cemetery at Hazen, PA.
