PUNXSUTAWNEY – A Pittsburgh-area criminal defense attorney is facing charges in Jefferson County for allegedly trying to solicit a minor for sex.
According to court documents, 33-year-old Paul Luvara of Bridgeville was arrested Saturday in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant in Punxsutawney.
The 814 Pred Hunters child protection group notified the Punxsutawney Borough Police that one of their online decoys, posing as a 15-year-old girl, was communicating with Luvara. The organization provided information that Luvara would be driving to Punxsy on Saturday with the intention of meeting the girl for sex. Luvara was arrested following a brief scuffle with police, and he was arraigned on five felonies and one misdemeanor.
Luvara is currently free after posting a $50,000 bond.
