Lawrence Township, PA – A woman was seriously injured after her vehicle was struck in Clearfield County.
The three-vehicle accident happened in Lawrence Township near Clearfield, along the Clearfield-Curwensville Highway on Jan. 19.
29-year-old Shane Lowe from Madera tried to make a left-hand turn onto Park Avenue Extension directly in front of another vehicle, driven by 52-year-old Kathy Hullihen from New Millport.
The impact from that collision caused Lowe’s truck to then strike another vehicle, driven by 38-year-old Michael Mallin from Houtzdale.
Everyone had been wearing a seat belt.
Although Lowe and Mallin were not injured, Hullihen suffered serious injuries and was taken to Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Lowe, the driver of the truck that caused the accident, was taken for a blood draw after being suspected of driving under the influence of marijuana.
