Woman on drugs arrested after carrying crock pot lid as shield, claiming being chased

Chester Hill Borough, PA – A Clearfield County woman was arrested after causing a scene while carrying a crock pot lid as a shield, holding a bathroom scale, wearing a hard hat, and complaining that people were chasing her.

State Police were called to the Dollar General store in Chester Hill Borough, just south of Philipsburg, for reports of a woman acting very strangely on March 27.

They found 25-year-old Tiffany Kerfoot from Philipsburg there. She told police that people were chasing her and trying to hurt her.

Kerfoot told troopers that she had just witnessed a murder at 214 Rowland Street, where she lives.

When police investigated, 26-year-old Nicholas Rowles was at the home and told police that Kerfoot has a drug problem and that there was no murder.

As police were leaving the house, they saw a glass marijuana pipe and charged Rowles with a misdemeanor for drug paraphernalia.

Kerfoot was taken to the hospital as a precaution. She was charged for public drunkenness.
