PUNXSUTAWNEY – A Punxsutawney woman is facing assault charges after allegedly tasing a man on a medical scooter last month.

On December 10th police received a call from 56 year-old Christina Felgar claiming someone was stalking and harassing her at the Grace Place Apartments. Later Felgar called police again claiming she used a taser against the man.

Once police arrived on scene, Felgar ran to authorities in a panicked state, she told police that she moved her car multiple times and saw the same man circling the area on his scooter.

She then allegedly confronted the victim and told him she would use her taser if he didn’t stop, at which point she allegedly deployed the weapon.

The victim told police he was taking his dog out and visiting a friend, he denied any medical aid at the time.

Felgar also allegedly told police that the victim did not make any threatening comment or gestures. Now she is facing multiple assault charges with a preliminary hearing set for January 6th.
