BROOKVILLE – Residents of the Colonial Crestwood Trailer Park in Brookville have water service today, but they were concerned about losing it earlier this week after receiving service shutoff letters.
The Brookville Municipal Authority sent out the letters to notify Colonial Crestwood residents that their water service could be shut off due to high usage because of leaks in the water system. According to the authority, homes in the trailer park were using 650,000 gallons of water a month, and urgent repairs were necessary before other customers experienced shortages. The authority’s letter also urged residents to contact the property’s landlord to demand that repairs be made immediately.
On Wednesday, the authority issued a notice that water service would not be turned off since repair work had been scheduled for next week by Colonial Crestwood.
