BROOKVILLE – A man from Washington State is behind bars after allegedly traveling to Brookville to meet who he thought was a 13 year-old girl for sex.
Police received messages between 56 year-old Robert Wheeler and the group 814 Pred Hunters disguised as a 13 year-old girl.
The messages allegedly showed Wheeler sexually messaging the known minor, ultimately making plans to meet in Brookville on October 17th.
When Wheeler arrived he was met by police and taken into custody where he allegedly admitted his intentions to have sexual intercourse with a 13 year-old. He is now in the Jefferson County Jail where he faces sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, and corruption of minors charges.
