CLEARFIELD – A 53-year-old Clearfield County man wanted on warrants is facing multiple other charges after allegedly ramming a police vehicle with his Jeep as he attempted to flee from state troopers.
State Police say that Ronald Hutton of Ramey lead them into an early morning high-speed pursuit in Beccaria Township on September 3rd. The chase reached speeds up to 80 miles per hour on various roads before the police caught up to Hutton at a gate on a dirt road. Hutton then reportedly put his Jeep in reverse and rammed the front of the police vehicle causing moderate damage.
Additional charges against Hutton include aggravated assault, fleeing and eluding police, and DUI.
His case will go to Clearfield County Court.
