Punxsutawney, PA – A wanted man caused a scene, injured another person, and damaged a home while police were attempting to arrest him.

33-year-old Joshua Burnside had a warrant for his arrest, and State Police from Punxsutawney found that he was hiding in a crawl space in the laundry room of a home on Cherry Street in Punxsy Sunday afternoon.

When they attempted to take him into custody, Burnside began kicking the floor and ended up falling through it, landing on an unnamed victim and causing injuries.

Burnside then jumped through the victim’s closed window, causing it to break.

He was caught outside the home by multiple police officers.

It’s unclear from the report what the original warrant was for, but Burnside will now face additional felony and misdemeanor charges for his attempted escape.
