Victim of DuBois fatal crash identified as 53-year-old Punxsutawney woman

DuBois, PA – The victim of a fatal car crash Tuesday morning near DuBois has been identified.

53-year-old Katrina Latta from Punxsutawney had been a passenger in that one-vehicle crash on South Main Street Extension.

Around 10:20 Tuesday morning, the roads became very icy.

The driver, 73-year-old Darlene Waite from Punxsutawney, lost control.

The vehicle struck an embankment and rolled onto its side.

While Waite only sustained minor injuries and was able to be treated at Penn Highlands Dubois, Latta was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both occupants were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
