Veterans Feeding Program Sees Smaller Turnout

DUBOIS – A food pantry dedicated to feeding area veterans was in DuBois this week, seeing a lower turnout this month.

This month saw only around 50 individuals getting meals. In November, 79 Veterans showed up, and 42 in September.

We heard from Feeding Coordinator Alexa Hannole, who told us that the lower numbers were due to the weather, but it is not hindering their operation.

“Every time we’re down here it seems like we have quite a few new people,“ explained Hannole. “So the word is still getting out and just helping more people.”

While there were lower numbers this month, the group does currently plan on returning in two months to feed Clearfield County Veterans.
