Vacant house fire in Perry Township determined to be arson

Perry Township, PA – The fire that destroyed a vacant house in Jefferson County on Friday has been determined to be an arson.

The State Police Fire Marshal and Perry Township Fire Department investigated the fire that broke out at a vacant home on Monroe Street in Perry Township (near Valier) on Friday evening.

They say unknown suspects entered the house and lit the building on fire.

The investigation is still ongoing.

Damage is estimated at $5,000.

Because the house was empty, there were no injuries
