Using Trucks for Education

DUBOIS – The DuBois Touch a Truck event is returning, and is looking for your unique vehicle.

Hosted by the Greater DuBois Chamber of Commerce, this educational event will feature a slew of different heavy equipment, trucks, emergency vehicles, and unique vehicles.

The Chamber’s Executive Director Jodi August encourages all who have a distinct truck to sign up for the event.

“For years we have really tried to target the Idaho Potato truck or the Oscar Myer Weiner truck, but those trucks are really hard to get and they don’t commit to special dates,“ explained August. “But if your business or organization has an emergency vehicle, a fire truck, a unique truck, an educational truck, something that kids can learn about, it can be a rock truck, a garbage truck so we’re looking for all of those different trucks.”

The free event is scheduled for Saturday September 14th at the DuBois Walmart from 11am to 2pm.

The deadline to register your vehicle is next Wednesday.
