Decatur Township, PA – A pair of people from Clearfield County were seriously injured when the driver ran through a billboard, into a tree, and flipped the vehicle onto its roof.

The man is suspected of driving under the influence.

41-year-old Timothy Heath from Osceola Mills had been driving his Toyota Avensis down Spring Street in Decatur Township (between Houtzdale and Osceola Mills) just after midnight early Saturday morning.

He ran off of the roadway, went through a large wooden billboard near the side of the road, then went on to strike a tree.

The vehicle finally came to rest on its roof on top of a guide rail.

Heath and his passenger, 28-year-old Becca Twoey from Osceola Mills, were both taken by ambulance to UPMC Altoona with serious injuries.

Neither of them had been wearing a seat belt.

The investigation is ongoing, but Heath is suspected to have been driving while intoxicated or impaired.
