Sligo, PA – Two pedestrians were struck and seriously injured in Sligo, Clarion County.
79-year-old Elsie Ritts and a 9-year-old girl, both from Sligo, had been walking on Madison Street around 6 p.m. on March 18.
As they were crossing a bridge, they were both struck by 58-year-old Willie Roberts from Sligo, who had lost control of his Dodge Durango for unknown reasons.
When the vehicle stopped, Ritts was underneath it and the 9-year-old girl was pinned in between the vehicle and the guide rail of the bridge.
The driver was not injured.
Ritts was flown by STAT MedEvac to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.
The young girl was flown to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Their current conditions are not listed.
