Two mailboxes struck in Summerville, vehicle did not stop

Summerville, PA – Someone struck two mailboxes in Jefferson County with a car and did not report it to police.

State Police in Punxsutawney say it happened around 9:30 Sunday night in Summerville on Heathville Road, just south of Memory Lane.

The unknown vehicle went off the road and onto the sidewalk on the southbound shoulder, striking two mailboxes.

The vehicle did not stop or report the collision to police, even though anytime you damage another person’s property you are obligated to report the incident.
