PINE CREEK TWP. – Two Jefferson County jail inmates may have to serve additional time after being charged last week for fighting.
State Police say 38-year-old Byron Kifer and 26-year-old Ryan Lucas have a preliminary hearing scheduled for January 3rd. Both Kifer and Lucas face charges of simple assault and harassment, but Lucas is also accused of strangulation. The fight reportedly was isolated to the two men who are cellmates.
Police filed charges against Kifer and Lucas based on what was seen on the jail’s surveillance footage.
