Two former Clearfield County restaurant owners plead guilty to failing to pay sales tax

Clearfield – Two former Clearfield County restaurant owners will serve five years of probation after pleading guilty Monday to failing to pay more than $60,000 in sales tax.

Sabrina and Armando Saldana had originally been charged by the Attorney General’s office with seven felony theft counts for not paying the sales tax at their Philipsburg business, Salsa’s Mexican Grill, in 2016 and 2017.

The Saldanas still owe a balance of more than $1,800.
